At the NY Society for ethical culture with George, Madine & Stuart for a concert.
We didn't drink the kool aid but enjoyed the meditative music of Sri Chinmoy.


Afterwards a nice meal on Columbus & 78 - a Druze restaurant. ??

Qualifying at the US Open

Every year the competition is fierce to get one of the 128 spots. Qualifying starts Tuesday, August 21, to Friday, August 24, 2012. Gates open at 10 a.m.
Cost: Free
The views on the back courts are great- really get to see the players and linesmen sweat.

Family visit to Catskill

Grandma Dinah, and aunts Rosie & Molly were there in spirit, and we were there for them.
Sister Martha drove to town and we visited with the Wagman's, the Cohens.

4 borough day

Started out in the Bronx
And picked Maureen up in Astoria. Drove to Manhattan Beach in Brooklyn - stayed 3 hours



(got sunburn and had some great swims)


Then changed in bathroom
Drove to JFK to pick up niece Jacqui from London.
Plane arrived early.
Drove back to Astoria for Mexican dinner and drinks
(seltzer for me)

Creamy gazpacho


Then drove Maureen home....then took 59th St bridge to Manhattan to drop Jacqui off.... And then home via fdr- to Bronx

Detours due to accident on 155th and had to find alternate route to HH H.
Whew!!

Glad to be home!
